Meet Our Staff
Susan Hubbard, DVM
Dr. Susan Hubbard has an extensive history of caring for pets in the Greece area and has been the director of Greece Animal Hospital since 2012. A native of Rochester, New York, Dr. Hubbard began her career caring for animals at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital as a kennel attendant and animal care assistant in 1986. She returned to work for Monroe Veterinary Associates as an associate veterinarian at Pittsford Animal Hospital from 2000 to 2002, and at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital from 2002 to 2012.
Dr. Hubbard attended the University of Rochester and received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1994. She continued her education at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. Dr. Hubbard also practiced medicine at Barton Heights Veterinary Hospital from 1998 to 2000. Her professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine and dentistry. Dr. Hubbard is also active in the care and treatment of puppies and guide dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
At home, Dr. Hubbard enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family, which includes her husband Todd and their four children. She also shares her home with Finn, a yellow lab; two guinea pigs named Oreo and Cookie; and two leopard geckos - Geronimo and Annabelle.
Elizabeth Ferderbar, DVM
Dr. Ferderbar is an Associate Veterinarian at Greece Animal Hospital and just finished at rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services. She is originally from Menomonee Falls, Wis.
Dr. Ferderbar was part of the Dean’s Scholar Program at University of Minnesota: Twin Cities and graduated in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in animal science. She attended veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences, graduating in 2014. She received a Service Award and a National VBMA Business Certificate while attending veterinary school.
Some of her professional interests include exotic, avian and alpaca medicine. Dr. Ferderbar enjoys musical theater and krav maga in her free time.
Christina Harmon, DVM
Christina Harmon is an associate veterinarian at Greece Animal Hospital. She graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017 with her doctorate of veterinary medicine and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Rochester in 2013.
She grew up on a small farm in Leroy, New York and believes that growing up on a farm gave her the skills necessary to pursue veterinary medicine. Her professional interests include dermatology, ophthalmology and animal behavior. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, basketball and spending time with family and friends.
Ella is the client service supervisor at Greece Animal Hospital, where she has worked since April 2016.
She loves the opportunity to help set pet owners’ minds at ease – either by explaining care options or doing research for them. And she says the new kitten and puppy visits are the best part of the job!
Ella has a bachelor’s degree in English literature and a master’s degree in museum studies. She has many hobbies including sewing, creating perfumes, writing, gardening and spending time with her family, which includes two furry sons. Her furry sons are a black cat named Strvensee and a long-haired orange cat name Pentecost. She also shares her home with her significant other, Josh.
The Veterinary Technicians
Angela B., LVT
Originally from Greece, NY, Angela is the Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor at Greece Animal Hospital, but she joined Monroe Veterinary Associates at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital in 1999. She received her veterinary technology degree from Medaille College. "I like working at Greece Animal Hospital because I'm able to establish relationships with clients and their pets," she said. "I am proud to work with such compassionate and wonderful co-workers."
She has one dog, a senior German shepherd named Kayla. She also shares her home with her husband and two boys, who are very active. During her free time, she enjoys watching movies, camping, swimming, playing outside with her boys and participating in any outdoor activities.
Tracy M., LVT
Tracy grew up in Greece, N.Y. She began working for Monroe Veterinary Associates in 1999 and has worked as a CSR, ACA and in Kennel. Tracy graduated from SUNY Canton in 2005 with her LVT degree, and has worked as a technician at Greece Animal Hospital since then.
Tracy is a very meticulous person. She enjoys cleaning and loves spending her free time with her family, husband Matthew and daughter Emilia, on the weekends.
Vicki H., LVT
Vicki grew up in Avon, NY. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Alfred State College in 2005. Shortly after, she began at Greece Animal Hospital as a licensed veterinary technician. She likes helping the animals at Greece, and “loves meeting new clients and working with her coworkers.”
When she is not at work, Vicki enjoys spending time with her family including her husband, Matt, and daughter, Faith. She also enjoys reading, taking walks and watching movies. She shares her home with her greyhound, Jayde, and cats, Jazmine and Jamaica.
Stephanie S., LVT
Stephanie is a native of Rochester, NY. She has an associate’s degree from Medaille College and is licensed in New York State as a veterinary technician. She started working for Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital in 2005, working for five years. She returned to Greece Animal Hospital in 2013 and is currently a full-time licensed veterinary technician at the hospital.
Stephanie has a shih tzu-maltese mix named Mia Rae. Mia is basically her “four-legged child.” Stephanie enjoys spending most of her free time at parks with Mia, reading and donating to the Animal Service League. She is also a die-hard Vikings fan.
Sara T., LVT
Sara is originally from Spencerport, NY. She started at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital in 2001, and is currently a part-time licensed veterinary technician at Greece Animal Hospital. She also occasionally works at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services.
Outside of work, Sara enjoys gardening, cycling, running and swimming. She also enjoys taking the dogs on walks, car rides and camping. She has two golden retrievers named Cooper and Stella, as well as a cat named Fonzi.
Lauren S., LVT
Lauren is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Greece Animal Hospital. She just began her career at Greece, but has been working in the animal-care industry for five years.
Lauren says that everyone at the hospital is so helpful and welcoming that it makes it easy to feel like a part of the team.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside and cuddling her dogs. Lauren’s dogs include a Lhasa apso mix named Zoey and a Rottweiler mix named Seve.
Jill L., LVT
Jill joins the staff of Greece Animal Hospital as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She brings with her nearly 17 years of experience in the animal-care industry. Jill has an associate’s degree in veterinary technology, with a minor in facility management. She is also certified in equine physical therapy.
What she likes best about working at Greece Animal Hospital are her coworkers, which are very supportive.
Jill has a small menagerie at home, including four dogs (Sully, Hemi, Argo and Cooper), one cat (Annabelle) and three horses. In her free time, she takes care of her three-year-old daughter named Jemma, rides horses and enjoys outdoor activities.
The Animal Care Staff
Kim is a full-time animal care assistant at Greece Animal Hospital. She was born in North Tonawanda and grew up in Buffalo and Rochester, NY. She has been employed in the animal-related field since 1995. She enjoys “the small atmosphere as she is able to get to know clients and patients better.”
Kim owns two Labrador retrievers named Carly and Calvin. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Molly, and learning new things through her eyes.
Claire was born and raised in Spencerport, NY. She is currently a full-time Animal Care Assistant at Greece Animal Hospital. She previously worked at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant. She loves working at Greece Animal Hospital because everyone is working toward the same goal and is passionate about what they do.
Claire has a white and orange tabby cat named Peanut and four dogs. Three of which are Jack Russell-pug mixes named Geno, Jackson and Ruby and a Chihuahua named Stasha. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and her fur babies.
Dina is originally from Greece, NY. She began working in the kennel at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital in 2002, and is currently a part-time Animal Care Assistant at Greece Animal Hospital. Dina has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wells College, and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from St. John Fisher College.
When she is not at work, Dina enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching Netflix and planning her wedding that will be in October of 2015. She shares her home with a Jack Russell Terrier named Bailey.
Alexa was born and raised in Rochester, NY and has worked in the animal-care field for five years. She loves working as a team with her coworkers and enjoys helping her patients and clients everyday. Although she is currently working as an Animal Care Assistant, Alexa is also studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician and plans to graduate next year.
For Alexa, taking care of animals doesn't end at work; she also volunteers and fosters dogs for Pitty Love Rescue in her free time. An exemplary dog-lover, Alexa loves spending time with her five dogs: Scout, Greyson, Caesar, Sammy, and Lilly.
The Reception Staff
Amy G., CSR
Amy grew up in northern Greece, NY. She is currently a full-time client service representative at Greece Animal Hospital, and has been since October 2009. She loves the patients and clients at Greece, and says they are "truly a part of her extended family.”
Amy shares her home with her mutt named Oreo, and her four cats named Burger, Cinder, Dium and Lily. In her free time, she enjoys swimming in the lake during the summer months. When it’s cold, she likes to hibernate and catch up on TV shows. Regardless of the weather, Amy takes Oreo on two to five mile walks daily!
Shannon S., CSR
Shannon grew up in the town of Greece, NY. She has been a full-time client service representative at Greece Animal Hospital since 2010. She enjoys working at Greece because the staff “has all become close friends. They make work a fun and caring environment.”
Shannon enjoys being a newlywed with her husband Eric. She also shares her home with her chocolate lab, Charlie, her cat, Marley, and her Senegal parrot named Gino. In her free time she enjoys running with Charlie, playing darts and kickball.
Morgan is a client service representative at Greece Animal Hospital, where she has worked since November 2015.
She says that working at Greece Animal Hospital combines the joy of helping animals with client relationships, awesome staff and an overall positive atmosphere.
She is currently working on a master’s degree in mental health counseling at St. John Fisher College. When not at work or school, Morgan enjoys singing, reading and writing. She shares her home with her partner of six years and two guinea pigs name Lucille and Freya.
Kerry O’Connell is a client service representative at Greece Animal Hospital. She is new to the hospital and to the animal-care industry.
Kerry says she couldn’t be happier to be part of Greece Animal Hospital because the job in general and the entire staff has taught her so much.
She is currently getting her associate’s degree in liberal arts from MCC. When not at work or school, Kerry enjoys camping, hiking, playing sports and playing the guitar. She has a German shepard named Koda and a cat named Boo Boo Kitty.
Buddy Guenther, K9
Buddy is a native of Rochester, New York. He became the Greece Animal Hospital office dog in February of 2013. His tasks include cleaning up dropped food, being a social butterfly, and providing moral support. Buddy enjoys “all of the good smells, peeing on the floors (oops), getting lots of treats and getting ear rubs from clients.
When Buddy is not at the hospital he spends his time at Amy's house with her furry family, Oreo and Burger.
